I was having trouble picking out a single song to represent how much I like this album, but Tumblr made it easy for me to pick a song to upload thanks to their 10MB upload limit.
This style of rock will always have a place in my ears since it burst on the scene back when my life peaked, somewhere around when I was 7 or 8 years old.

The Parachute EndingSaw this on the Chuck Nunchuck Channel and had to repost. I’m a sucker for trippy cartoons set to bass drenched French metatunes.
I think this video is an allegory for the ancient influence Protaxtites had on our development and Paul Stamets theory on how to save the world (and terraform others). But I could be reading too much into it.

Did you know Steve Jobs was a galactic asshole until some years ago?
This Gizmodo retrospective is pretty interesting. I might be late to the game when it comes to knowing what a prick Jobs was for such a long time. Seems like he learned, so there is hope for the rest of us which is good news for me and the people who have to deal with me.

Whonduras?
So Honduras is having a moment in the sun. Here’s the recap in case you’ve been navel gazing. The Honduran army went to their President’s house. Woke him up. Put him in a car. Drove to Costa Rica. Opened the door. Put a fiver in his pocket. Pushed him out. Then drove away.
The news screamed ‘COUP!’ Everyone said ‘Iran?’ The headline replied, ‘no Honduras.’ Then everyone went back to deep frying Cheerios.
The news coverage paints this as a run-of-the-mill coup, where the army just took over. Obama’s statement seems to mirror the idea that something unlawful happened as he on Honduran officials “to respect democratic norms [and] the rule of law.”
Yet today I read this article in the Miami Herald that paints a different picture. Respecting democratic norms and the rule of law led the army to stage the coup.
What a twist! Thought I’d share.

Live @ Prospect ParkThis is how they opened for Brooklyn at their free show this past Sat night. It was the best moment sociologically if not musically. Being a free show made for an interesting crowd. The differences between those who came b/c it was free and those who really like the band were on full display. I stood between some die-hard fans from Philly and some young kids who had nothing else free to do. The kids to my right spent the whole time making fun of the people to my left.
